| Greening Jigalong Revegetation Project

The major role of the Pundulmurra Aboriginal Landcare Service was to provide a landcare awareness, education, planning and training service to Aboriginal communities of the Pilbara and Western Desert regions. To achieve this PALS has undertaken initiatives in the following:

  • The development and circulation of landcare information and fact sheets;
  • The development of methodologies for Community landscape maintenance and development planning;
  • Support in obtaining funds from relevant agencies;
  • Support in project implementation, maintenance and assessment.

This service was provided in the following projects: Landscape Maintenance and Development - Greening Jigalong Project, The Western Desert Landcare Planning Project, The Mankuni Wilykikaja: Women's Bush Tucker and Seed Harvesting Project, The Edible Wattle Seed Project.
