Members
of the Murdoch University Senate were treated to a tour of selected
facilities on the South Street Campus last Saturday (August 23, 2003)
and featured was our own ETC Site. With nearly 2 hectares to explore
and a very limited time period Joshua Byrne led the Senate Members
on a whistle stop tour of the 'new' Waalitj Exhibition complex, permaculture
garden and Remote Area Deveoplments Group technology displays.
Research
Manager, Dr Martin Anda, said, "Murdoch University is such a large
institution with so much varied work being carried out that tours like
this are a great opportunity for Senators to see what is actually going
on at the coal face."
Joshua
Byrne, Postgraduate Research Scholar and emerging media personality,
said, "We welcome people to the ETC all the time and it is great
to see so many people taking an interest in the place. When we get
members of these committees down here it is a great chance to not only
show off our work but highlight successes."
