The Greywater
Diverter Vessel Assembly, marketed under the product name Greywater
Saver is a patented product (Australian Innovation Patent No.
2002/100710) developed with an intention of providing a greywater
reuse product that would satisfy all the necessary requirements to
be a successful means of reducing water consumption whilst combating
environmental wastewater disposal concerns.

The Greywater
Saver
is authorised
by the Water Corporation WA for connection to the sewer. is approved
by the Department of Health WA for greywater reuse. costs little
to purchase, nothing to use and quickly pays for itself in water
savings.is a miniature
system with no large tanks, no electric pumps/switches, noexpensive
maintenance contracts and requires no chemical additives. requires
only several minutes input by users to regularly clean the filter
of trapped lint and hair etc. has a failsafe
overflow to sewer feature if the filter is not cleaned regularly
or if the system gets overloaded.diverts
greywater for garden irrigation rather than disposing it to the
sewer or onsite wastewater system.

A demonstration
version of the Greywater Saver is on display at the ETC, recycling
wastewater from the outdoor kitchen attached to the Site-hut and
feeding it into garden beds.
