This site has a search facility as well as online databases, publications, media centre, statistics and economics, contacts and employment opportunities. The databases include information on mines and minerals and safety and health as well as links to other government departments.

» Sustainable Energy Development Office (Govt. of WA)
This is another WA government department website that has links to information on energy smart homes, energy smart governments, energy smart businesses, helping industry, renewable energy sources, funding and grants and other energy smart links. The sites main focus is to deliver the government of Western Australia’s sustainable energy policy.

» The Australian Greenhouse Office
This site has information on science and emissions monitoring, international activities, government, business and industry, community and household, energy and transport and natural resources.

» The Greens: Environmental Education
This site is about educating people about the environment, developing skills and organise programs that provide knowledge, attitudes and skills. It is more centred about child education and building a sustainable lifestyle. It also has links to articles on current environmental issues.

» Department of Environmental Protection (Govt. of WA)
This site has many links to current environmental problems and other government department information. Some main links are: community programs, waste management, contaminated sites, land use and air quality. It even has a newsletter that you can download.

» Environmental Defender’s Office: Western Australia
The environmental defender’s office involves the protection of WA’s environment by providing community groups and individuals with environmental legal services including advice, education, representation and opportunity to participate in reform of laws affecting the environment. It has online fact sheets and publications, archives and links mostly on environmental laws in WA.

» Western Australian Land Information System
This site has lots of links to information about Western Australia, the whole of Australia and the world. It has information like climate and atmospheric, maps, geologic and geophysical and imagery and aerial photographs.

» Department of Conservation and Land Management
This site has links to information about plants and animals, national parks, tourism and recreation, forest facts, science matters and projects all related to Western Australia.

» Department of Environment (Govt. of WA)
This is another government website that has 6 main searches that contains more specific links. The main searches are air, land, water, regional information, information for… and corporate information. They also have links on pollution management, media releases and information about licences, permits and forms.

» Online WA - Land information
This is a web page that lists various websites to do with many aspects of the Environment in WA, from Aboriginal lands to forest management or the heritage council.

» Australian Conservation Foundation
This site has lots of information about WA environmental problems. It also has additional information including facts and figures, reports, web links and submissions as well as recent media releases.

» Nature Base, Plants and Animals
This site has information on environmental projects you can do at home. For example bee keeping, butterfly gardening and dealing with snakes.

» Men of the Trees: Western Australia
The international society for the planting and protection of trees. Their main aim is to plant trees, reduce greenhouse gases and fight salinity.

» Western Australia: Case Study Bush Care Projects
Living Landscapes: Integrating Nature Conservation Actions into the Agricultural Landscape. Living Landscapes is a process for applying ecological planning principles within the context of sustainable production systems, and is aiming to understand how to effectively transfer these principles to new catchments.
