Technical Tour
Due to some unforseen circumstances we are not able to conduct the Mandurah tour and the tours will now be to the following places in Perth:

1. Regional Resource Recovery Centre of the South Metropolitan Regional Council, Perth
The Regional Resource Recovery Centre, Canningvale has been designed to achieve an 85% recovery and re-use of waste from the South Metropolitan region comprising five member councils that has traditionally been sent to landfill. The material recovery facility at the RRRC uses state-of-the-art systems and equipment that is the largest facility in the southern hemisphere. The in vessel composting facility treats all the organic waste collected from the region and produces compost that is used by farmers.

2. Point Fraser Wetland
Is an inner-city wetland which is managed by the City of Peth, Western Australia. It is designed and developed as part of urban development to purify storm water from the city area before it enters the Swan river. It also provides recreational facility and is an example of an ecological approach to urban development.
